At the Swedish Migration Agency, we work with one of the major societal issues of our time - migration. We are about 6,000 people here, and we have an unusually important job!

We are looking for decision-makers for the permit examination unit 1 in Umeå.

With us, you will work on current societal issues that are affected by what happens in our environment. Issues that concern and engage. We offer a dynamic work environment where continuous improvement and meeting people are in focus.

What does a decision-maker do?

An important part of the job is to develop the case workers' legal application, subject matters, and investigation methodology through good pedagogy. The goal is for the case workers to independently make decisions correctly, easily, and quickly.

As a decision-maker, you support and develop your colleagues in legal application, subject matters, and investigation methodology. You identify and analyze areas for development and propose improvements. On behalf of the unit, you gather and maintain knowledge and monitor standards, guidelines, and practices.

You handle, investigate, and decide on cases based on laws and regulations. The decisions you make have legal effects for individuals and affect their rights to benefits, rights, and obligations. You manage appeals and follow up on cases in connection with presentations to ensure high legal quality. Your tasks include making confidentiality assessments before information is disclosed and administering records and documents in cases. You also work to guide and provide service to individuals with cases at the Migration Agency and to other stakeholders with various inquiries.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of how people acquire knowledge and their different conditions. You are clear and adapt the way you convey your message to the recipient. You have good collaboration skills and care about team spirit, are attentive, and resolve conflicts constructively. Furthermore, you are meticulous and place great importance on meeting goals and quality standards. You take responsibility for your tasks and independently structure your work. You also have the ability to make quick decisions and act on them, even with limited information or difficult circumstances. You demonstrate judgment under time pressure.

In our work as civil servants, high demands are also placed on judgment and a high awareness of security and confidentiality.

You who are applying have
